Correction: Just because a line moves by step does not make it a scale. Only use the word "scalic" if the line runs sequentially along a recognised scale.

Pitfall 2: Confusing Sequence with Exact Repetition
Correction: A sequence must change pitch. If it repeats on the exact same pitches, call it repetition or an ostinato.

Pitfall 3: Giving Harmony Answers Instead of Melodic Answers
