1. Things in My School Bag and on My Desk
Let's look at the tools we use every day. These are concrete words, which means they are things we can touch and see!
• Pencil (ปากกา) — I have a pencil.
• Pen (ปากกา) — It is a blue pen.
• Eraser (ยางลบ) — Can I use your eraser?
• Ruler (ไม้บรรทัด) — The ruler is long.
• Book (หนังสือ) — Open your book, please.
• Notebook (สมุด) — I write in my notebook.
• Bag (กระเป๋า) — My bag is heavy.
• Desk (โต๊ะเรียน) — Sit at your desk.
• Chair (เก้าอี้) — The chair is small.
• Whiteboard / Blackboard (กระดาน) — Look at the board.

2. Asking "What is it?"
When you see something and you don't know the name, you can ask a question. This is a very important skill!
The Question: "What is it?" or "What is this?"
The Answer: "It is a..." or "It is an..."
Wait! When do we use "a" or "an"?
• Use an before words that start with a, e, i, o, u sounds (like an eraser).
• Use a for most other words (like a pencil or a book).

4. Where is it? (Prepositions)
Sometimes your teacher might ask where your book is. We use simple words to show location:
• In (ใน) — The pencil is in the box.
• On (บน) — The book is on the desk.
• Under (ใต้) — The ruler is under the chair.
Memory Trick: Think of your hand. Put it on your head, in your pocket, or under the table to remember these words!

Your teacher will give you simple instructions. In ป.1, we listen and follow. In ป.2 and ป.3, we learn to say "Please" to be polite.
