Hello kids! Today, we’re going to learn about "English across other school subjects!"

Did you know that English isn’t just found in your English class? It’s hidden in all the other subjects we study, too! Whether it’s Math, Science, or Art, knowing English makes learning those subjects a whole lot more fun.

If it feels a little tricky at first, don't worry... just keep practicing along with us!

1. English in Mathematics (Math)

In Math, we deal with Numbers. Let's see how to spell the numbers 1-10 in English.

1 = One
2 = Two
3 = Three - Be careful to stick your tongue out a little when you pronounce the "Th" sound!
4 = Four
5 = Five
6 = Six
7 = Seven
8 = Eight
9 = Nine
10 = Ten

Key Point:

Counting is a super important foundation. If you memorize these well, learning how to do addition in English will be a breeze!

Did you know?

The word "Plus" means adding things together. For example: One plus one is two.

2. English in Science

Science is all around us, and it includes so many Animals and Colors!

Let’s learn some colors:

- Red = สีแดง
- Blue = สีน้ำเงิน
- Green = สีเขียว
- Yellow = สีเหลือง

Let’s learn some animals:

- Cat = แมว
- Dog = สุนัข
- Bird = นก
- Fish = ปลา

A quick summary:

We can use English to describe things, like saying "A red fish."

3. English in Art

In Art class, we draw all kinds of shapes. Let’s learn the names of Shapes in English!

- Circle = วงกลม
- Square = สี่เหลี่ยมจัตุรัส
- Triangle = สามเหลี่ยม

Try it out:

Try drawing a Red Circle! Now you’ve created a beautiful "red circle."

4. English in Health and P.E.

In this subject, we learn all about My Body. Let's look at some commonly used words:

- Head = ศีรษะ/หัว
- Eye = ตา
- Nose = จมูก
- Mouth = ปาก
- Hand = มือ

Memory Tip:

Try singing the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." It really helps you remember your body parts much faster!

Common Mistakes

1. Confusing 6 (Six) and 7 (Seven): Keep repeating them! Remember that "Six" is a short sound, while "Seven" has two syllables.
2. Forgetting to add 's' for plural: If there is more than one of something, like 2 cats, you must say Two cats (don't forget the 's' at the end!).

Lesson Summary

Learning English in Grade 1 is all about knowing basic vocabulary that connects to your everyday life and other subjects:
- Math: Memorize numbers 1-10.
- Science/Art: Learn the names of colors, animals, and shapes.
- Health: Remember your body parts.

Great job, kids! Don't forget to use these words in your other classes. You'll see that English is useful and fun!
