- Organic Chemistry Definitions: Many students defined a 'hydrocarbon' without using the word only (e.g., "compounds containing carbon and hydrogen"), which failed to secure the mark.
- Transpiration and Humidity: A common misconception remains that increasing humidity increases the rate of transpiration, whereas it actually decreases the concentration gradient, lowering the transpiration rate.

To maximize performance, candidates should focus their preparation on: first, mastering the exact wording of key definitions (such as hydrocarbon, aerobic respiration, and diatomic); second, practicing quantitative physics calculations with explicit unit conversion steps; and third, reinforcing practical drawing and graphing skills. In biology, focus on tracing energy flow in food webs and identifying heart structures. In chemistry, practice writing electrode half-equations and interpreting energy level diagrams.
Prediction for Upcoming Series
Given the heavy focus on electrolysis and cracking in this series, future exams are highly likely to swing back toward Acids, Bases and Salts (specifically titration techniques) and Chemistry of the Environment. In physics, we predict an upcoming focus on Waves (specifically light refraction calculations and electromagnetic spectrum properties), which were relatively under-tested in the extended theory sections of this set.
