To pinpoint any country or city on Earth, geographers use an imaginary grid system of lines measured in degrees (\(^\circ\)).
1. Lines of Latitude (Parallels)
Lines of latitude run horizontally around the Earth from East to West. They measure how far North or South a place is from the centre of the Earth.
