1. Colours (สี)

The world is very colourful! Here are the most common colours you should know:

  • Red (แดง) - Like an apple.
  • Blue (ฟ้า/น้ำเงิน) - Like the sky.
  • Green (เขียว) - Like the grass.
  • Yellow (เหลือง) - Like the sun.
  • Pink (ชมพู) - Like a flower.
  • Orange (ส้ม) - Like the fruit.
  • Black (ดำ) - Like the night.
  • White (ขาว) - Like a cloud.

How to ask and answer:

If you see something and want to know the colour, you ask:
"What colour is it?"

You can answer with a simple sentence:
"It is red."
"It is blue."

Quick Tip: In English, we usually put the colour before the thing.
Thai: "หมาสีดำ" (Dog black)
English: "A black dog" (Black dog)

2. Sizes (ขนาด)

Things are not all the same size! We use these words to compare things:

  • Big (ใหญ่) - Like an elephant.
  • Small (เล็ก) - Like an ant.
  • Long (ยาว) - Like a ruler or a snake.
  • Short (สั้น) - Like a pencil that has been used a lot!

How to use these words:

We can use these in simple sentences too:
"The ball is big."
"The pen is short."

3. Places and Positions (ตำแหน่งที่อยู่)

Where is your pencil? Where is your cat? To tell someone where something is, we use these three important words:

  • In (ใน) - Inside something (like inside a box).
  • On (บน) - On top of something (like on a table).
  • Under (ใต้) - Below something (like under a chair).

Asking "Where?":

When you lose something, you ask:
"Where is the...?"

Examples:
1. Question: "Where is the cat?"
Answer: "It is on the chair."

2. Question: "Where is the book?"
Answer: "It is in the bag."

Memory Trick: Think of your hand. Put it on your head, then in your pocket, then under your desk!

4. Asking Questions: Yes or No?

Sometimes you want to check if you are right. You can use "Is it...?"

Is it a blue box?
- If yes: "Yes, it is."
- If no: "No, it is not."

Is the dog big?
- If yes: "Yes, it is."
- If no: "No, it is not."
