CCEA A-Level Technology and Design 8900 Past Papers

The CCEA GCE A2 1 Technology and Design paper is a specialised 2-hour, 80-mark examination offering three distinct option routes: Section A (Electronic and Microelectronic Control Systems), Section B (Mechanical and Pneumatic Control Systems), or Section C (Product Design). Candidates complete both questions in their chosen pathway. The examination rigorously tests mathematical calculations, circuit/mechanism sketching, systems diagrams, flowchart algorithms, and extended prose assessing Quality of Written Communication (QWC).

CCEA GCE Technology and Design Unit A2 1 (Summer 2024) is an 80-mark, 2-hour optional specialization examination where candidates select and answer both questions from either Section A (Electronics & Microelectronics), Section B (Mechanics & Pneumatics), or Section C (Product Design). The paper tests core technical calculations, circuit/mechanism/product drawing and design synthesis on dedicated A3 pro formas, alongside extended response QWC questions (9 marks each).
