Memorizing 367 characters one by one would be brutal; the good news is that N3 kanji cluster into the vocabulary of society and daily adult life (政治, 経済, 相談, 予約…), and their readings follow patterns you can exploit. 1. How to Attack 367 Kanji
- Learn words, not characters. Every kanji below is anchored to one high-value word. 政 alone is abstract; 政治（せいじ）is a word you'll meet weekly. The word carries the reading; the reading carries the exam point.
- Band A first (60 kanji): the highest-frequency band covers a disproportionate share of exam questions and real text. Master it before touching Band B.
