1. English in Math (Math is Fun!)

In Math, we often deal with Numbers and Shapes. Here are some interesting English terms for them:

Numbers and Simple Calculations

Grade 2 students are probably already pros at counting 1-20, right? Let’s check out some math symbols:
- Plus (+) means adding
- Minus (-) means subtracting
- Equal (=) means the same as
Example: \( 5 + 2 = 7 \) We say this in English as Five plus two equals seven.

Fun with Shapes

- Circle: (Think of a donut or a full moon)
- Square: (Like a gift box)
- Triangle: (Like a sandwich or a house roof)

Key Point:

Easy Trick: Tri- in Triangle means 3. So, it’s a shape with 3 corners!

2. English in Science (Science Around Us)

Science helps us learn about our world. Let’s look at some vocabulary you’ll encounter:

Parts of a Plant

Next time you're walking in a garden, try pointing and naming these:
- Flower
- Leaf
- Tree

Animals and Nature

We can group animals easily, like:
- Pets: (Cat, Dog, Rabbit)
- Farm animals: (Cow, Pig, Hen)

Fun Fact!

Animals make different sounds in English compared to Thai! For example, while we might say a dog goes "hong-hong," in English, we say "Woof Woof!" or "Bow Wow!" Isn't that funny?

3. English in Health and PE (Health and Body)

In this subject, we learn about My Body and how to stay healthy.

Hygiene

- Wash your hands: (Very important before you eat!)
- Brush your teeth

Common Mistake:

Students often get confused between Hand and Arm.
- Hand: This is just the part we use to pick things up.
- Arm: This is the whole limb from your shoulder down to your wrist.

4. English in Art (Colorful Art)

The most fun subject! Let’s use English to talk about Colors.

- Primary Colors: These are Red, Yellow, and Blue.
