  • Question 4(b) (30 marks, AO2): Mandates critical engagement with other aspects of human experience (historical, socio-political, or contemporary case studies) to access Bands 3–5. High-scoring scripts seamlessly integrate secular and historical case studies (e.g., Civil Rights, Apartheid, bioethical legislation, totalitarian regimes) to evaluate the ongoing relevance and influence of religious faith.

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Failing to provide explicit links to another unit in Section B Question 4(a), capping the candidate at Band 3 (maximum 12/20).
