1. 時間介系詞：精準掌握你的行程

TOEIC Part 5 經常出現商務行程、截止日期與會議時間的題材。想在這裡拿分，你必須區分一般（廣泛）與特定的時間。

「金字塔」原則

將時間想像成一個倒金字塔：

IN（一般/範圍大）：用於世紀、年份、月份和季節。
Example: The company was founded in 1995.
Example: We expect a profit increase in the summer.

ON（特定日期）：用於星期幾和特定日期。
Example: The board meeting is on Tuesday.
Example: Please submit the invoice on October 15th.

AT（非常具體/精確）：用於確切時間和一天中的特定時刻。
Example: The seminar starts at 9:30 AM.
Example: I usually have a break at noon.

TOEIC 陷阱："Until" vs. "By"

這是考試中最常見的錯誤之一。考官利用這兩者來檢視你是否理解持續期間 (duration) 與截止期限 (deadlines) 的差別。

弱版（錯誤）： The report must be finished until Friday.
改善版（正確）： The report must be finished by Friday.

說明： 使用 By 表示截止期限（在該時間點或之前完成）。使用 Until 表示某個動作持續到某個時間點（例如：I will stay in the office until 7:00 PM）。

重點總結：

用 in 表示長的時間段，on 表示日期，at 表示確切時間。當提到截止期限時，請務必小心使用 by！

2. 地方介系詞：辦公室導航

在 TOEIC 情境中，地方介系詞通常用來描述人員的工作地點、文件的位置，或是會議舉辦的地點。

常見用法模式

AT（點/特定位置）：當你將地點視為地圖上的一個具體點或目的地時使用。
Example: He is waiting at the bus stop.
Example: Meet me at the main entrance.

IN（內部/封閉空間）：當某物在建築物、房間或容器內時使用。
Example: The files are in the cabinet.
Example: There are twenty people in the conference room.

ON（表面與樓層）：在 TOEIC 中，這在描述辦公室位置時非常常見。
Example: The printer is on the desk.
Example: Our office is on the tenth floor.

當泛指工作場所時，我們通常說 at work。如果你是特別指稱那棟實體建築物，則可能會說 in the office。

3. 目的與原因介系詞

For 與 To（不定詞）的差別

FOR + 名詞：用來表示物件或動作的目的。
Example: This department is responsible for marketing.
Example: I went to the store for some paper.

Example: I went to the store to buy some paper.

表達原因："Due to" 與 "Because of"

這些片語對 TOEIC 來說價值很高。它們後面必須接名詞片語，絕不能接完整的句子（主詞 + 動詞）。

弱版： The flight was delayed due to it was snowing.（語法錯誤）
改善版： The flight was delayed due to the heavy snow.（正確使用名詞片語）

重點總結：

如果你在空格後看到動詞，答案可能是 to。如果你看到名詞，答案可能是 for、due to 或 because of。

4. 常見搭配詞（黏在一起的詞）

在 Part 5，出題者常會測試「固定片語」。你不一定需要學習規則，只需要記住哪個介系詞對應哪個詞彙即可。如果能背下來，這些都是「送分題」！

高分 TOEIC 片語：
- Interested in: Are you interested in applying for the job?
- Participate in: Please participate in the survey.
- Depend on: The budget depends on the final sales figures.
- Comply with: All employees must comply with safety regulations.
- Apologize for: We apologize for the delay.

5. Part 5 的解題策略與時間分配

Part 5 共有 30 題，你應該將每題的作答時間控制在 20-30 秒內。介系詞題目設計的目的就是要讓你快速解決。

「觀察四周」策略：
1. 看空格：空格後面緊接著什麼？（時間？地點？動詞？名詞？）
2. 檢查是否為「截止期限」：如果你看到時間，問自己：這是一個持續進行的動作，還是一個界限？（選擇 until 或 by）。
3. 區分名詞與動詞：如果句子是在解釋原因，尋找 "to"（接在動詞前）或 "for/due to"（接在名詞前）。
4. 不要過度分析：通常在商務英語中「聽起來順口」的介系詞就是正確答案。如果你已經熟讀過搭配詞，請相信你的第一直覺。
