CCEA AS-Level Government and Politics 4830 过往试题分析

This GCE Government and Politics AS examination suite (AS 1: The Government and Politics of Northern Ireland and AS 2: The British Political Process) presents a balanced, highly accessible assessment. Across both units, foundational short-tariff recall questions (4–6 marks) provide swift access to baseline marks, while extended evaluative essays (15, 25, and 26 marks) demand rigorous contemporary examples, conceptual precision, and sustained, balanced argumentation. Explicit mark scheme caps severely penalise answers lacking direct source engagement, concrete illustrative evidence, or substantive counter-arguments.

The 2024 CCEA GCE AS Government and Politics papers (AS 1 and AS 2) offer a balanced assessment across core institutions and contemporary political dynamics. AS 1 evaluates Northern Ireland devolution, the STV electoral system, recent DUP electoral fortunes, and executive-legislative relations, while AS 2 covers parliamentary scrutiny, executive dominance versus cabinet power, and options between the UK judiciary and pressure groups.

A balanced and rigorous GCE AS Government and Politics examination covering AS 1 (Northern Ireland) and AS 2 (British Political Process). The papers test core institutional mechanics, devolution dynamics, party realignment, and executive-legislative relations, requiring precise political terminology, balanced debate, and contemporary empirical evidence.

The 2022 CCEA AS Government and Politics papers (AS 1 and AS 2) offered a balanced, accessible assessment across core modules. AS 1 tested the operational dynamics of the restored Stormont institutions, inter-party friction, and executive-legislative efficacy. AS 2 assessed core Westminster mechanisms, judicial scrutiny, and non-electoral participation, rewarding concrete contemporary case evidence and well-balanced evaluative essays.
